I believe this went down during Valentine’s Day weekend. Nikko & Afta perform their earliest collaborative single off their self titled EP at The Love Summit event in Chinatown, Los Angeles. Nikko isn’t just a wonder in the booth, but can effortlessly hit those high notes live as well. I’m ashamed that I missed this. I owe you one (+ then some), Ms. Gray & co.
via Carryout: Video recap of the Midnight Marauders event held at Everlasting Life Café (located at 2928 Georgia Ave NW.) Performances by: Nickelus F, Nike Nando, JF Coop, Kool Klux Klan, Prince Akeem, Shawn Sky, Logic, Prehistoric and more. Check out http://www.TheCarryout.net for more information on upcoming events, new music and new videos.
JF Coop, Avion, rMell, SiR E.U & 431 of The CarryOut Productions featured in a nice little HD video cypher over rMell beats brought to you by SweatShopLife. E.U almost misses mentioning a “hoes on my” reference.
via TeamGoodlife: So, just like any other show hosted by Carryout Productions, this one was a hit. Especially when Kool Klux Klan came and did their thang! Now normally, I hate when rappers want audience participation, but I couldn’t help saying “F*** Mitch, get money”, “Kool Klux Klan”, “F*** Tyler Perry”, or “SWAG!”. I’m serious, Kool Klux Klan brings a certain energy that cannot be matched or imitated by any one MC alone! So just like I promised, I have footage from tonight, by artist and as a group, just so you guys can get a better idea of who they are individually and collectively. #KoolKluxKlan.
Of course i got there just in time to step on stage and rep with Kool Klux.
Intuition kicks a verse while his core producer Equalibrum plays the beat live on his MPD32 for KnocksteadyTV. While being an artist with 2 albums in his very long career (its effective if you ask me), it’s been great to see Intuition release some form of media frequently.
Canadian hip hop battle league King Of The Dot recently hosted a producer tournament where producers face off in 1 round elimination matches. The homie Elaquent participated in this tournament & started off with a very heated match against Absoluut. We’ll keep you updated if EQ advances through the rounds. By the way, Elaquent’s The Midnight After coming soon.
Avion, rMell, Sir E.U, CRASHprez & more kicking dope frees off the top during their performance at The CarryOut Productions’ Midnight Marauders II event this past weekend. This session includes your usual freestyle fare & a very based “HOES ON MY D*CK” rhyme game. I’m pretty sure almost every performer on the bill showed up for this cypher so shout outs to them as well. That’s what I like to see.
If you haven’t copped Avion & rMell’s Kazuya Chronicles, you’re sleeping. Download the tape HERE
